One of the best pumpkin patches and farms in Los Angeles is Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark! They throw a huge Harvest Festival the entire month of October and they have the best selection of every variety of pumpkin, gourd, and squash your fall-loving heart could ever desire! While it’s really fun to go on the weekends, it can also be really busy, but if you’re looking for food and games and animal shows, that’s the time to go. If you’re looking for a quieter trip just to enjoy being outside and picking up some pumpkins, we’ve learned that the best time to go is on a weekday, in the later afternoon, after all the school field trips have gone home for the day. You can literally have the patch all to yourself! And they still offer the free tractor pulled wagon ride, the bumble bee ride, and the petting zoo. The farm stays open until 6 pm, which leaves plenty of time to wander and enjoy! Admission to the Festival is $6.00 Monday – Friday, $15.00 on October 1, 2, 8 & 9 and $20.00 on October 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, & 30. Children under 2 are free PLUS parking is FREE!
